It is embarrassing that the class had to use an old, beat-up analog television that could only receive two channels to view election results.
Fortunately, they could get results online. What a shame the college does not offer an appropriate space for classroom television use or provide the technology in the classroom.
This was not some outside organization or even a student club.
We are talking about a class attempting to learn about our country's election process.
They deserve more than antique technology for the learning process.
The most logical venue might be in the student center.
Unfortunately, night students are out of luck as the center closes shortly before 7 p.m.
The waiting room in the counseling center on the first floor of Moody Learning Center has two very nice flat-screen televisions that receive cable, and there are nice chairs to boot. But that's no place to take a class.
Longwith Radio-Television-Film Building has a theater with all sorts of equipment that could have been set up to watch election results. Presidential elections only happen every four years.
