The interior design field is heavy with competition and Sarafian knew she had to somehow separate her business from other design firms.
Her experience overseas allows her to do that, she said, because she has unique knowledge of antiques and design trends used in Europe.
She is particularly interested in reproduction antique furniture, which she said she used extensively as the key designer in the restoration of Oscar Wilde's childhood home in Dublin.
'Reproduction antiques say a little more because they are a piece of interest,' she said. 'There is a story behind them.'
